Then EA switched SecuROM 3 for the next few releases, which didn't work properly and resulted in a ton of corruption and unplayable games (the amount of savefiles Maxis asked us to mail them for investigation and correction is ridiculous). īut as to the SecuROM: Sims 2 base game came with SecuROM 2 and so did the first two expansions.
